David Doblhofer was born on September 26t h 1992 in Wels, Austria. From the age of seven on he was first educated in playing the violin. He then later switched to saxophone and electric bassguitar, as well as double bass. From 2013 -2018 he studied both E-Bass and Doublebass at the Anton-Bruckner-Privatuniversität in Linz, where he finished with the attribute „Auszeichnung“ – the highest grade possible. During this time and up today he took masterclasses with Heiko Jung from Panzerballett/Martin Grubinger.
Since the age of 16 he is a permanent part of the live music scene in Upperaustria as well as the city of Vienna. Playing with the Upperaustrian Chamberorchestra St.Florian, the „Nai“-Orchestra Vienna, as well as the vocal formation „ByeMaxene“. He also works as composer and arranger for different projects such as the Blues-Rock Band Willy Extra and storytellers such as Ursophon, with whom he performed at the International Night of Theatres 2018. His engagements brought him across different countries of Europe such as Iceland, Germany on several occasions as well as Switzerland, Hungary, Italy and Spain. In November 2018 he moved to Vienna, where he eventually would become part of the Vienna International Chamberorchestra.
